Cadets are scheduled to return home at 6:30 PM but may be earlier depending on the length of routines. Cadets will call on their way home. Lunch and supper will be provided.

The competition is scheduled to start at 8:00 AM. Our band is currently scheduled to go 9th and the drill team 14th. Parents are welcome to watch the competition which takes place at CFB Gagetown – building L33 (drive straight onto the base, turn right at the end of the street, and L33 is the first building on the left).

Wednesday:
6:20 – 9:10 PM – CO’s Parade and guest speaker (dress is shirt, tie, tunic, and parka). All cadets are asked to bring civilian winter boots, snow pants, mitts, and hat as they will be going outside after the parade.

Upcoming Events/Deadlines:

25 Feb 17 – Bottle Drive
26 Feb 17 – Skiing/Snowshoeing at Elmhurst Outdoors
1 Mar 17 – Unit Effective Speaking Competition
5-10 Mar 17 – Senior Trip (Quebec & Ottawa)

Fund Raising:
– Cadets were given Air Cadet League tickets to sell. All cadets are expected to sell at least one book. Books have 12 tickets. Tickets sell for $2 or 3 for $5. Cadets should return at least $20 for each book depending on how the tickets were sold. Cadets must return any unsold tickets to the squadron by 1 Mar 17.

– The senior cadets will be holding a bottle drive on 25 Feb 17. Save up your refundables. There will be a drop off location at the armoury Friday evening and Saturday morning. We could use a few additional cadet/parent volunteers to assist on Friday evening or Saturday morning.

– Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets to the Roast Beef Dinner or donated items for the auction!

Reminder: If a cadet cannot make it to a Wednesday night/regular event, the cadet should leave a message on the squadron answering machine 632-3215. Please do not e-mail Capt Phinney or post on facebook. This will ensure the admin o gets the message and can mark the cadet as excused.
