Training Cancelled for Wednesday May 1st

There will be no cadet training on Wednesday May 1st. The Armoury will be unavailable and we do not have an alternate location for training.

Parents wishing to purchase tickets for the Steak & Stein can do so this week at Personal Auto and Tire (451 Rothesay Ave.) all week during business hours. Ticket sales are also available online online.
We are still accepting donations for the auction.

Instructors, an updated training schedule will be posted this evening.

Weekly Update Apr 25 – May 1 19

Here are the updates for the week:

Friday: Drill Team: 1800-1900
Band: 1900-2130
This is the last practice session before competition, everybody needs to show up and band members need to bring your instruments.

Saturday: Drill Team and Band, your bus departs at 0730 from HMCS Brunswicker (160 Chesley Dr, near the North end McDonald’s). Show up for 0710 in uniform with all the kit/instruments/etc you need. Lunch will be provided. You will be returning between 1730 and 1800.

Sunday: No Training

Wednesday: Regular training. Dress is t-shirt. Summer dress is in effect, you should still bring and wear a coat, but do not need to wear your tunic.
Please bring back your summer training offers as soon as you can.

Cadets: We have noticed a decline in the uniform care, boot polishing and haircut standards. ACR is fast approaching and now is the time to bring everything up to standard or better. The CO will be at liberty to send anyone home that does not meet the standards.

Upcoming events:
– April 26-28: Tagging. The schedule is posted here, if you see an empty spot and are available, please sign up.
– April 27th: Band and Drill Team Competition.
– May 4th: Dinner and Auction fund raiser, information has been sent home. Tickets are available here for $25. This event is adults only.
June Ottawa Trip!

Parents, we are still accepting donations for the auction. If you wish to purchase tickets in person, there will be a member of the Parents Committee available every Wednesday night from 6:15 until 7:30 to sell tickets, you can even send the money with your child.

Tagging: Cadets should take at least one shift for tagging. Band and Drill team members can only tag on Sunday. We have 5 locations* and a schedule will be posted later, but expected shifts are as follows:

Friday: 1800-2100
Saturday: 0900-1200, 1200-1500, 1500-1800, 1800-2100
Sunday: 1200-1600

Sunday: Drill team 1800-2100, bring you boots and wool socks. You should also bring your polishing kit.

Wednesday: CO’s Parade. Dress is Shirt, Tie and Tunic.

Cadets: We have noticed a decline in the uniform care, boot polishing and haircut standards. ACR is fast approaching and now is the time to bring everything up to standard or better. The CO will be at liberty to send anyone home that does not meet the standards.

If you have lost or misplaced your league tickets, you need to let Mrs. Poirier know. All outstanding tickets are now over due.

– April 27th: Band and Drill Team Competition.
