About Us
161 C.K. Beveridge Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron offers youth a variety of exciting and challenging opportunities and has been present in the community for the past 75 years. The Cadet Program is the largest federally-sponsored youth program in Canada. Cadets are youth aged 12 to 18 who are interested in participating in a variety of fun, challenging, and rewarding activities while learning about air activities of the Canadian Forces. Our cadets develop citizenship and leadership skills. Our training program offers cadets opportunities to learn about the many facets of aviation, participate in sports and fitness activities, develop survival skills through outdoor training, participate in marksmanship and biathlon training, learn to play an instrument as a member of the band, participate in effective speaking competitions, travel thought out Canada and even around the world, build and fly model aircraft, and even obtain a personal pilot’s licence.
