Just a reminder about our trip to Ottawa for cadets who are attending. Please be at the armoires for 6:30 am Monday June 24th as we will be departing at 7am sharp.
Cadets are asked to bring a lunch for the bus ride to Ottawa, all other meals will be provided throughout the trip.
Kit list and schedule have been posted on our website if you missed last Wednesday’s meeting.
If for some reason you are no longer able to attend please let the staff know in advance.

Any parents/cadets wishing to get more information or ask questions are free tom come in this Wednesday at 1830 for an information session. This is an informal event and dress for cadets will be civilian clothing.

We also have travel information for the cadets attending the 6 week and 7 week courses, along with those selected for staff positions.

June FTX Directions and Kit List

Senior Cadets (levels 4 and 5) are to arrive Friday at 1800, all other cadets are to arrive Saturday morning by 0900. All cadets can be picked up at 1500 on Sunday.

Directions from Barrack Green Armouries:

Turn Left at the 2nd cross street onto Broad St
Continue onto Lower Cove Loop
Continue onto Water St
Continue onto St. Patrick St
Continue onto Main St/NB 100 E
Use the right lane to merge onto NB Route 1 W/NB-1 via the ramp to NB-7/Saint Stephen/Fredericton
Merge onto NB 1 W/NB-1
Take exit 114 for NB-7 toward Grand Bay-Westfield/Fredericton
Continue on NB-7 N
Take exit 80 for NB-102 toward Grand Bay-Westfield/Village of Gagetown
Turn right onto NB-102 N
Turn left onto Campbell Rd

Camp location is on the left side, across from 850 Campbell Rd
161 Parent Committee sign will be at the end of the driveway.

No vehicles are to enter the camp site road.

Do not turn around in 850 Campbell Rd’s driveway, proceed to the end of the Campbell Rd and turn around there, or turn left and continue down the Brittain Rd back to the Nerepis Rd.

Cadet Kit List:

Each cadet is required to bring:

  • Hiking boots
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Sweater
  • Toothbrush/ paste
  • 4 – 6 pairs of socks (wool)
  • Warm PJs
  • Mittens/ gloves
  • Warm pants (Three)
  • Undergarments
  • Deodorant
  • Face cloth/Hand towel
  • Soap/hand sanitizer
  • Rain Coat
  • Reusable plastic/metal cup
  • Toque
  • Female personal hygiene items
  • Flashlight
  • Warm Jacket
  • Sun Screen/Bug Repellent

Cadets are not permitted to bring:

  • Knives
  • Electronics (mp3/cd players, gaming systems, cell phones etc) Bringing electronics/phones are at your own risk.
  • Weapons
  • Lighters
  • Illegal substances, alcohol, or cigarettes
  • Make-up
