We have been given a last minute opportunity to attend the 2025 Air Show Atlantic.

ALL SPOTS ARE FILLED!!

CADETS MUST SIGN UP FOR THIS ACTIVITY – ONLY CADETS LISTED BELOW WILL BE ATTENDING

When: 28-Jun-2025 – Saturday

Drop Off: 0630hrsSimonds High School 1490 Hickey Rd, Saint John – the bus leaves at 0700hrs and will NOT wait for you

Dress: FTU’s

Pick Up: 2100hrs Simonds High School

Lunch: Cadets are to bring a lunch, snacks & drinks.

Bring Sunscreen & Water

Supper: Will be provided

Cadets can also bring some money as there will be vendors to purchase from.

BIATHLON COMPETITION

FCpl Perry, FCpl Hutchinson, FSgt Munn & FSgt Dickeson – Will meet at the Barrack Green Armouries on Friday 13-Jun-2025 – Bus leaves at 1530hrs Please arrive no later than 1500hrs.

Cadets will depart Argonaut CTC on Sunday 15-Jun-2025 at 1300hrs and should arrive at the Barrack Green Armouries by 1400hrs.

Good Luck to FCpl Perry & FCpl Hutchinson who will be competing in the Provincial Biathlon Competition

Due to the weather forcast Gliding has been cancelled for tomorrow. – We will try again in September.

To attend Gliding you must:

-be signed up for gliding – Cadets had lots of opportunity to Sign up.

-All Cadets must have all paperwork completed and approved to attend.

PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR THE ARMOURIES AS GLIDING COULD BE CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER.

Bring LUNCH! Cadets MUST bring Lunch, snacks & drinks. We will be on a runway all day and do NOT have access to a store. Bring enough food & drinks for the day.

DROP OFF Barrack Green Armouries: Cadets must arrive at 0530 – 0540hrs – bus Departure 0600hrsTHE BUS WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOU TIMES TO BE CONFIRMED

Dress: Civilian Clothes – NO UNIFORMS

PICK UP: estimating 2000hrs at Barrack Green Armouries – please check the website for more accurate arrival time.

ANYTHING CADETS BRING TO THIS ACTIVITY IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF 161 OR THEIR STAFF.

This is a day trip, cadets will return in the evening; we will post on the website when we leave Summerside with an estimate time of arrival. Gliding is an activity in which pilots fly unpowered aircraft known as gliders using a tow rope and an airplane or truck to pull the glider into the air like a kite. When the glider reaches a certain altitude the tow rope is released and using naturally occurring currents of rising air in the atmosphere to remain airborne.

We will be on a runway all day and do NOT have access to a store. Bring enough food & drinks for the day.

Subway will be provided for SUPPER.
