WE NEED YOUR HELP! As you know 161 Air Cadets is a FREE teen program. To help with training costs we need the parents & cadets to volunteer with fundraising. We have a number of Poppy shifts available. The schedule is posted below –yellow spaces are available shifts. Please contact Aimee Perry to sign your cadet up. Aimee Perry 506-645-1863 or sjp1981@hotmail.com.

During the poppy shift cadets will ask the public if they would like to buy a poppy or one of the poppy campaign pins/stickers/wrist band. Cadets will be in uniform or if they do not have a uniform dressed business casual. Each shift will require at least 1 parent to stay & supervise. The Poppy Tray will be passed onto the next cadet shift or will be picked up by a sponsoring committee member.

Fundraisers like the Poppy Campaign helps us do more with your cadets with no cost to you.

CADETS WILL BE IN THE SCHOOL GYM – OUTDOOR SHOES NOT ALLOWED – PLEASE BRING INDOOR SNEAKERS OR YOU WILL HAVE TO RUN AROUND IN SOCKS

COSTUMES ARE ENCOURAGED BUT NOT REQUIRED

-Marksmanship & Biathlon – bring warm clothes Biathlon Cadets will be running outside

-Model Building

Wednesday 30-Oct-2024 – Halloween Party – Simonday High School – 1815-2115hrs -Use pool doors to enter -Cadet Appropriate Costumes are encouraged

The poppy schedule is below.

We need shifts filled for this weekend at Sobeys East Point! Each shift is 2 hours. I have 12-2(1 cadet), 2-4 (1 cadet)& 4-6 (2 cadets)

Just be advised that due to a change in policy at the Barrack Green Armouries, you may find that the gate is locked when you arrive. Please wait with your Child(ren) until someone arrives to open the gate.

NO MEALS PROVIDED – BRING A WATER BOTTLE & SNACKS IF YOU LIKE

FTX PICKUP Time: 1530hrs

Do NOT come up the hill to the campsite. All cadets will be at the end of the driveway waiting to be picked up.
