Here is the weekly update

Friday: Band from 1830-2100. Any new members interested in joining the band are welcome to attend.

Sunday: Battle of Britain Parade. Cadets should show up for 1000. We will meet in the Irving parking lot on Charlotte St behind the Admiral Beatty building. The parade should end around 1200 and there will be refreshments served afterwards, provided by the parents committee. If the forecast is calling for rain, expect the parade to be moved to the Barrack Green Armouries, we will post here and on Facebook if that happens.

Biathlon. 1800-2100 at the Armouries, all returning biatlon team members and any one interested in joining or just seeing what biathlon is are welcome to attend.

Monday: Flying Scholarship 1830-2030. Any level 3+ or 15 years and up that are interested in applying for the Glider or Power courses this year or next should attend. Classes take place at Simonds High School as we will once again be training jointly with 527. Those planning to write apply and write the entrance exams this year should speak to Lt. Cameron about getting an FTGU.

Wednesday: Regular training, dress is t-shirt

Annual validation forms went home this past Wednesday, be sure to have them updated and returned as soon as possible. Any new cadets should try to have their paperwork, including birth certificate, provincial health card, or other required ID brought in as soon as possible to avoid missing any training or trips.

Senior Cadets – Parade position interviews will be held on Wednesday the 25th. You should plan to bring or wear your uniform that night and have a written narrative prepared explaining why you are interested in having a parade position along with what you would bring to that role. We will meet next Wednesday to get a list of those who will be interviewed.

Upcoming Events:
– 21/22 Sep 19: Senior Cadet Training Weekend @ Armouries
– 29 Sep 19: Gliding in Mirimichi, meet @ Armouries
– 18-20 Oct 19: Fall FTX @ Nicol Woodlot

Reminder: If a cadet cannot make it to a Wednesday night/regular event, the cadet should leave a message on the squadron answering machine 632-3215. Please do not e-mail Capt Meunier or post on Facebook. This will ensure the Admin O gets the message and can mark the cadet as excused.
