This is a day trip, cadets will return in the evening; we will post on the website when we leave Summerside with an estimate time of arrival. Gliding is an activity in which pilots fly unpowered aircraft known as gliders using a tow rope and an air plane or truck to pull the glider into the air like a kite. When the glider reaches a certain altitude the tow rope is released and using naturally occurring currents of rising air in the atmosphere to remain airborne. Below is a short video of an air cadet glider taking off.
LUNCH IS NOT PROVIDED. Cadets MUST bring their own lunch, snacks & drinks. We will be on a runway all day and do NOT have access to a store.
Subway will be provided for SUPPER ONLY.
Cadets MUST sign up for this activity 01-May-2024 is the last chance to sign up – if you are not on this list you must see Capt J Hutchinson to sign up.
