With the parade season now complete, we are transitioning to theory instruction, evaluations, and the preparation of our display for the Annual Ceremonial Review.
Our Military Marching Band is a percussion ensemble, consisting of snare drums, cymbals, tenor (quad) drums, bass drums, and glockenspiels. All cadets participate in both theory and practical instruction and are provided opportunities to be assessed in music theory and performance. Upon successfully achieving the required level in both theory and playing, cadets are awarded a musician level badge to be worn on their blue uniform.
Throughout the training year, virtual theory classes may also be offered. In addition, cadets may have the opportunity to attend a music workshop weekend to further develop their skills.
