Weekly update Apr 4-10 19

Here are the updates for the week:

Friday: Band from 1800 to 2130.
This is also the last day to get your Ottawa trip forms in.

Sunday: Drill team 1800-2100, bring you boots and wool socks. You should also bring your polishing kit.

Wednesday: Regular training with a special guest speaker. Dress is t-shirt.

Cadets: We have noticed a decline in the uniform care, boot polishing and haircut standards. ACR is fast approaching and now is the time to bring everything up to standard or better. The CO will be at liberty to send anyone home that does not meet the standards.

If you have lost or misplaced your league tickets, you need to let Mrs. Poirier know. All outstanding tickets are now over due.

Upcoming events:
– This Saturday, Sgt. Eldridge will be at the provincial effective speaking competition, good luck!
– Late April: Tagging, dates to be confirmed.
– April 27th: Band and Drill Team Competition.
– May 4th: Dinner and Auction fund raiser, information has been sent home. Tickets are available here for $25. This event is adults only.

Here are the updates for the week:

Friday: Drill Team 1800 – 1900, Followed by Band from 1900 to 2130.
Drill team, bring your wool socks, and boots and have them shined!

Sunday: Drill team 1800-2100, bring you boots and wool socks. You should also bring your polishing kit.

Wednesday: Sports Night. Bring foot wear for running in.

Cadets: We have noticed a decline in the uniform care, boot polishing and haircut standards. ACR is fast approaching and now is the time to bring everything up to standard or better. The CO will be at liberty to send anyone home that does not meet the standards.

Please bring back your league ticket money into Mrs. Poirier once you have sold your tickets, we cannot get anymore and the campaign it nearing the end.

Here are the updates for the week:

Friday: Drill Team 1800 – 1900, Followed by Band from 1900 to 2130.
Drill team, bring your boots and have them shined!

Sunday: Open shooting, flight sim and model building/flying from 1800-2100. If you bring your own drone, make sure it is charged before hand.

Wednesday: Regular training. Dress is T-Shirt. It is still cold enough out that you should be wearing a coat when outside.

Here are the updates for the week:

Friday: Drill Team 1800 – 1900, Followed by Band from 1900 to 2130.

Saturday: Marksmanship team practice at the armouries from 1800 – 2100.

Sunday: Marksmanship Zones at HMCS Brunswicker from 0745 – 1600. Lunch will be provided and the participants are to wear civilian clothing.
There will not be any Sunday evening optional training this week.

Wednesday: CO’s Parade. Dress is Shirt, Tie, Tunic and ribbons. It is still cold enough out that you should be wearing a coat when outside.

Please bring back your league ticket money into Mrs. Poirier once you have sold your tickets, and she can get you more.

Tonight: No Band or Drill Team.

Sunday: Marksmanship Practice 1800-2100, only those who were advised to attend by Capt. Hutchinson are to be there, other optional training activities will not be taking place.
Effective Speaking: 1800-2100, for the 6 cadets taking part, the order below are your times. if you cannot make it or want to cancel, message the squadron on Facebook. (We can work on alternate timings also)
– Abujayyab, Sn: 1830
– Finnigan: 1850
– Gaudet: 1910
– Eldridge: 1930
– Cunningham, L: 1950
– Buck: 2010
You do not have to wear your uniform for this event.

Wednesday: Effective Speaking with 527. We will be holding the effective speaking competition with 527 at Simonds High School, not the Armouries. Dress for all cadets is T-shirt, those who are speaking must wear shirt and tie. Drop off and pick up is at the door near the pool and football field (NOTE: It is a one-way street).

Here are the updates for the week:

Friday (Mar 1): Drill Team 1800 – 1900, Followed by Band from 1900 to 2130.

Wednesday (Mar 6): Some fun for March Break! We have Vegas Entertainment Center booked from 1800-2100. Cadets will have access to all activities on site (will confirm Arcade), and we will be providing snacks and some beverages. You may bring money if you wish to purchase anything from the on site canteen. Capt. Phinney, D has challenged everyone to laser tag…

Thursday (Mar 7): Band practice day from 0900 until 1600 at the Armouries. Bring your water bottles, snacks and a lunch.

Friday (Mar 8): If there is Drill Team and Band on this day, you will be advised on Friday March 1st.

Here are the updates for the week:

Friday: Drill Team 1800 – 1900, Followed by Band from 1900 to 2130.

Sunday: Marksmanship/Flight Sim 1800 – 2100
If you want to bring your own drone, please make sure it is working and charged beforehand, the armouries seems to play havoc with drones lately.

Wednesday: Sports Night. Dress is sports gear. We still expect everyone to have winter coats, it is still winter. Bring a filled water bottle, the tap water is not the best.

Cadets! Next Wednesday is the last day to sign up for Summer Training, make sure you sign up and put a preference in what courses you are most interested in.

– March Break – We are booked for Laser Tag at Vegas Entertainment, and everyone seemed interested in staying there, we will switch the reservation to get access to the bumper cars and bowling also.

Saturday: No First Aid training. Swimming is still scheduled for 1900-2100 at Saint John High School, you should be there no later that 1845 at the entrance on Canterbury St.

Sunday: Marksmanship/Flight Sim/Model Building 1800 – 2100
The Tri-Service Band concert, This is being held at the Argonaut Mess hall (Gagetown) at 1300, all are welcome to attend, admission is free.

Wednesday: CO’s Parade with special guest Reviewing Officer, dress is full uniform with shirt and tie. Press those uniforms and polish your boots!
Remember that it is winter and all cadets must wear a coat.

Here are the updates for the week:

Friday: Drill Team 1800 – 1900, Followed by Band from 1900 to 2130.

Provincial Biathlon competitors, coaches and cadet volunteers. Remember that the bus leaves at 0800 from the Lancaster Mall parking lot. Bring cold weather gear with you on the bus, you will be going straight to the track for an afternoon training session, you should also bring a snack or lunch to eat on the bus. Have fun.
